The Tomorrow PeopleThe Tomorrow People, 1st Series DVD set
The Tomorrow People are the next stage in human evolution - HomoSuperions - and are armed with telepathic, telekinetic, and ESP powers, anmd have become the Earth's ambassadors to the Galactic Empire. Using their powers, they could thwart attempts by hostile aliens to invade the planet. The first of these Tomorrow People was John (played by Nicholas Young), who managed to control his powers and help and counsel others.

The series was ITVs answer to the highly succesful and long running Sci-fi series Doctor Who, filling the slot vacated by another kid's fantasy series, Ace of Wands. Produced by Thames Television, this was the brainchild of writer Roger Price, who wrote virtually all of the shows, and to begin with, the stories were intriguing and adventurous, but the series soon ran out of steam, but limped on for a total of 8 series (with a revival ten years ago).

This has gone down in cult TV history and is now available, for the first time, on DVD from Revelation Films. The entire first series, consisting of the three stories, The Slaves of Jedikiah, The Medusa Strain and The Vanishing Earth form a box set (although they are available individually).
